2012 California Parent Leadership Conference

The CEBC will present a workshop entitled: Knowing the Best of What’s Out There in Evidence-Based Practice: What is it and Why is it Important? What do we need to look at when we’re trying the find the best of what’s out there? Come to this workshop to learn more about what evidence-based practice (EBP) is and why it is important for parent leadership programs and their partners to advocate for solid empirical research showing effectiveness in improving outcomes for families. Presenters will introduce the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC), a key online resource for identifying, selecting, and implementing evidence-based child welfare practices that have been shown to improve child safety, increase permanency, increase family and community stability, and promote child and family well-being. This workshop provides a great opportunity for participants to understand how the CEBC can assist you and how it can provide valuable information on evidence-based practices from various perspectives. The conference is located at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California.

The CEBC will present a workshop entitled: Finding Effective Programs for Children and Families in the Child Welfare System. This session for the CRP Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2012, from 1:30 - 2:50 pm. The Conference will be held at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC.

April 16-20, 2012:
18th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect: Celebrating the Past ~ Imagining the Future

The CEBC will present a workshop entitled: Knowing the Best of What’s Out There to Help Families in the Child Welfare System.  This workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm in the following room: Columbia Hall 10. The Conference will be held at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC.

27th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment

This conference, sponsored by The Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center, is for professionals from the fields of medicine, mental health, forensic interviewing, child welfare, advocacy, justice, law enforcement, education, family support, public policy, and research. The conference is held in San Diego, CA.
