How do You Use the CEBC?

The CEBC contains vast amounts of information, all accessible from buttons on the sidebar which is located on every page in the website. The following information can be accessed from that sidebar:

• Home — brings you back to the homepage. From the homepage, you can search for a program by typing all or part of its name or abbreviation in the box next to "Search for a Program:" on the upper right part of the screen.
• Search — allows you to search for programs by a variety of characteristics individually or choose the Advanced Search to choose multiple characteristics to search by including age of child the program helps, if applicable. To learn more about the different ways you can search for programs on the CEBC, please see the Usage Guide for the CEBC.
• Topic Areas — contains links to all of the topic areas highlighted on the CEBC.
• Rating Scales — contains links to the two rating scales used to rate eligible programs on the CEBC: The Scientific Rating Scale and the Child Welfare Relevance Rating Scale.
• Assessment Tools — provides information and ratings on over a dozen assessments that can be used to evaluate children involved in the child welfare system. There is also a description of the rating scale available via link at the bottom of the first page.
• Implementation — provides information on a number of different implementation related resources including implementation tools such as a selection guide, existing implementation approaches, and implementation information available for programs rated highly on the Scientific Rating Scale.
• Resources — allows you access to CEBC resources such as video tutorials, the importance of evidence-based practice, marketing materials, events coming up where the CEBC will be presented, evidence-based practices and culture, articles relevant to the CEBC, links to other noteworthy organizations, a usage guide for the CEBC, a registry of organizations that track randomized controlled trials, and a glossary.
• FAQS — provides answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions about the CEBC. Please check here to see if your question is answered on this page before contacting the CEBC staff.
• About Us — gives you links to the history of the CEBC including the usual review process, who oversees and funds the CEBC, who helps inform the content and research review on the CEBC, and the staff who manages the day-to-day operations of the CEBC.
• Contact — provides the ability to contact the CEBC staff either via form or email.
• Email Alerts — provides the ability to sign up to receive the CEBC email alerts that are sent out when new information has been posted to the CEBC website.
