Brief Description:(The information in this program outline is provided by the program representative and edited by the CEBC staff.)

Rising Tide Communities-Orangewood has been reviewed by the CEBC in the area of Youth Transitioning into Adulthood, but lacks the necessary research evidence to be given either a Scientific Rating or a Child Welfare Relevance Rating. Rising Tide Communities, developed by Orangewood Children's Foundation, is a transitional housing program. The program provides a range of options for former foster youth, which include housing, employment assistance, transportation assistance, ongoing training in day-to-day life skills, counseling, mentoring, and spiritual life development. Rising Tide Communities is an intermediate step between dependency on the foster care system and independent living.
