RCT Registries

Research is a continuous process. Many of the programs that are highlighted on the CEBC website currently have Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) underway. The results of these studies, once they are published in peer-reviewed literature may influence the rating for the program. However, since it often takes a long time for results to be published there are available registries of RCTs that provide consumers with further information about current research studies. Information regarding one of the most comprehensive registries, including a link to it, is listed below.

ClinicalTrials.gov is a registry of federally and privately supported clinical trials conducted in the United States and around the world. ClinicalTrials.gov gives you information about a trial's purpose, who may participate, locations, and phone numbers for more details. (From the Clinical Trials website: http://clinicaltrials.gov/)

Note that there are other registries of RCTs, but they are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies or focus on specific conditions that are not relevant to child welfare.
